Chelsea’s injury crisis is finally easing as Reece James is set to make his return against Nottingham Forest this weekend. The Blues, who secured a dominant 5-0 victory over West Ham United in their last match, have climbed to seventh place in the Premier League. Christopher Nkunku also made his first appearance since February as a substitute in the previous game, while Malo Gusto returned from a knee injury that had kept him out since the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City. Levi Colwill also made the bench for that match. James, who has been training hard, could potentially make his first appearance of the year. Manager Pochettino expressed his excitement about having his captain back and praised James’ abilities.

Meanwhile, Cowill also made his return last week, adding to Chelsea’s growing list of available players. Pochettino acknowledged the challenges of returning from a long-term injury but emphasized the importance of having Cowill back in the squad. With Enzo Fernandez out for the season, Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher have formed a strong partnership in midfield, while Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Nicolas Jackson have been consistent choices in the attacking lineup.

Chelsea still has three games remaining in their season, including matches against Forest and Brighton before their final home game at Stamford Bridge. The match against Nottingham Forest will kick off at 5:30pm BST on Saturday 11 May and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
