Tony Bellew has slammed Strictly Come Dancing, saying that he doesn’t want to take the risk of participating in the show. The former I’m A Celebrity star, who was the runner-up on the reality show last year, believes that being on the ballroom floor is a completely different experience from being in the Australian jungle. When asked if he would ever go on Strictly, Bellew jokingly responded, “No, I don’t think Strictly is for me. I’m planning on staying married.” He seemed to reference the infamous Strictly Curse, which has caused strain in some relationships between celebrity contestants and professional dancers.

Bellew’s stint on I’m A Celebrity was the first time he and his wife Rachael had been apart for such a long period in their 22-year marriage. As a result, he is not willing to take any risks on Strictly. While some people blame the show for relationship breakups, judge Craig Revel Horwood disagrees. He believes that if a couple splits up, their marriage must have already been on the rocks. He said, “I don’t think it’s a curse or anything to do with Strictly. If people are happy in their relationship, they very rarely go off with someone else.”

Former Strictly pro James Jordan, who has been happily married to fellow dancer Ola Jordan for 20 years, has a different perspective. He points out how close the pairs on Strictly become from the very first day of rehearsals. Jordan said, “You’re very close, aren’t you? Day one, you come in and you’re literally rubbing up on each other, groin to groin. You just met them and you’re rubbing your crown jewels up against them.”

JAMES JORDAN REVEALS SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT STRICTLY CURSE

In an exclusive interview, former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has spoken out about the infamous “Strictly Curse”. Jordan, who is no stranger to the show’s romantic entanglements, believes that the chemistry between dancers is only natural given the close proximity and intense training they experience.

“It’s no different to any office in London or wherever, where John’s copping off with Sue around the corner,” Jordan boldly stated. “It happens in all walks of life. It just so happens that Strictly is on TV, so people are digging to find more.”

The dancer-turned-pundit went on to explain that while outsiders may be surprised by the level of intimacy on the show, it is a normal occurrence for those in the industry. “You’re so close to each other, dancing sexy, and there’s nice music and you’re training with each other for eight hours a day, so if there is a little bit of chemistry, something’s going to happen,” Jordan revealed.

Contrary to popular belief, Jordan dismissed the idea of a curse and likened the romantic connections on Strictly to any other workplace romance. “It’s no different to any office in London or wherever, where John’s copping off with Sue around the corner,” he reiterated.

With the show’s reputation for sparking love connections, it seems that the “Strictly Curse” is nothing more than a product of the intense environment. As Jordan points out, it’s simply a case of people finding love in unexpected places.
