CASUALTY STAR’S DRUG SHOCKER – Faith Cadogan’s Prescription Privileges Restored!
In a shocking twist on BBC’s hit medical drama Casualty, Faith Cadogan (played by Kirsty Mitchell) has finally been granted the ability to prescribe drugs to patients once again. But it’s not all smooth sailing for the troubled character.
After returning to the ED in January following a stint in rehab for drug addiction, Faith found herself on probation. And it seems that her journey to redemption is far from over. Clinical Lead Patrick Onley (Jamie Glover) clearly doesn’t trust her, as he asks clinical nurse manager Siobhan McKenzie (Melanie Hill) to keep a close eye on her.
This latest setback comes after a patient revealed her addiction to the entire ED last week, further complicating Faith’s struggle to regain trust and credibility. Speaking exclusively to us, Kirsty Mitchell shared her thoughts on Faith’s challenging situation.
“These things are going to come back and bite her, and she’s just got to be ready to deal with it and have the right mindset,” Kirsty explained. “I think she knew she was expecting them to be a bit mistrusting. She was shocked that Patrick was the one saying everything’s great, go forward. But again, you just have to grin and bear it.”
Despite the setback, Faith remains determined to stay clean and focused on her job. “Because let’s be honest, there’s always a temptation, and proving yourself over six months isn’t really long enough when you’ve been doing something like she’s been doing,” Kirsty added.
Faith’s journey to redemption is far from over, and she knows it. She understands that it will take a long time to prove herself, especially considering the impact her addiction has had on her family and colleagues. “What she did was massive. So she’s just gonna have to bite the bullet for a while and prove herself continuously until there’s another drama. But I think she’s ready for it to be a long time,” Kirsty shared.
