Chelsea Boosted as Palmer Returns for Aston Villa Clash

Chelsea’s hopes of bouncing back from their devastating 5-0 defeat to Arsenal have received a major boost with the return of Cole Palmer. The talented midfielder missed the FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City due to illness, leaving a noticeable gap in the team’s performance. However, Palmer was back in training on Thursday and is expected to feature in the starting lineup for tonight’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

While Palmer’s return will be welcomed by Chelsea fans, the team will still be without Reece James and Levi Colwill, who are both recovering from injuries. Malo Gusto, who missed the Arsenal game with a minor knee ligament injury, is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program. Carney Chukwuemeka and Raheem Sterling have also been ruled out after picking up knocks this week. Additionally, Enzo Fernandez will be unavailable for the remainder of the season as he undergoes groin surgery to address a long-standing injury.

In Fernandez’s absence, Conor Gallagher may be called upon to fill the void in midfield alongside Moises Caicedo. However, Aston Villa will be no pushover, with Genting Casinos’ Premier League Result Predictor giving them a 57% chance of victory, compared to Chelsea’s 21% chance.

The highly anticipated match between Aston Villa and Chelsea will take place on Saturday 27th April at 8pm [BST]. Fans can catch the action live on TNT Sports 1.
