The One Show presenter Alex Jones has just made a “breaking news” announcement during Friday’s episode. While discussing the guest line-up, Alex couldn’t contain her excitement over BBC News presenter Clive Myrie’s appearance on the programme.
Starting off the show, Alex enthusiastically greeted the audience, saying, “Hello and welcome to The One Show, we are live on BBC One and Player with Roman Kemp.” Roman chimed in, “And Alex Jones.” Alex then mentioned that it’s the start of the Bank Holiday weekend and teased the upcoming entertainment.
Alex continued, “Yes, Adrian Dunbar is here. He’s best known for playing Ted Hastings in Line of Duty, but tonight we will be interrogating him about his role in the classic musical, Kiss Me Kate.” Roman added, “Get ready for some jazz hands as Adrian and the cast will be treating us to a spectacular performance of Two Darn Hot at the end of the show. Based on their rehearsal, it’s not to be missed.”
Excitedly, Alex exclaimed, “I can’t wait for that!” She then dropped a bombshell, saying, “And some breaking news…Clive Myrie will be here. He has swapped his shirt and tie for swimming shorts and embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in the Caribbean.”
